How I became
I currently run a coaching business helping female entrepreneurs reduce chaos and overwhelm to allow them to create and achieve their Dream(s). However this wasn’t always the case.
To be completely honest, until 2005, I had very little knowledge of what coaching was, let alone that it might be my new profession.
I have had a very interesting career to date, working all over the world in a variety of roles including – The British Army, The British Trade Commission in Hong Kong and The University of Oxford.
Whilst these roles were vastly different, they all added to the jigsaw of life and provided me not only with lots of positive experiences but also a wide variety of skills and knowledge.
Throughout my working life I have observed varying levels of chaos and calm in how people work and how effective they were.
It struck me that those that were most in control and who had the greatest level of calm were the ones who were the most organised. These were also the people who succeeded in achieving at the highest level in whatever they did. This is not unusual or unexpected but it is not necessarily how everyone works.
I then tried to emulate my most effective colleagues and it wasn’t long before I too was being more efficient and more productive. By adopting a few simple but highly effective strategies I now had created a level of calm and order into my day and my work. This was a total revelation!
It was with this in mind that I created The Breathing Space and The Calm Coach in order to support and assist fellow female entrepreneurs to not only achieve “Business and Personal Calm” but more specifically to help them achieve their Dream.
Now, I have a profession I adore, working with truly inspirational people, and living a life that most people could only dream about.
This is not to say that I have finished my Dream, merely that I achieved one dream and am now working on the next!
